Drusch Design is a Mexico City based design studio founded in 2021, dedicated to creating sculptural yet functional pieces that blend artistry with purpose. Driven by an exploration of natural materials such as stone, wood, metal and glass, the work transforms these elements into unique, handcrafted objects that go beyond mere utility. Each piece embodies a futuristic, modern and minimalist aesthetic, telling a story while enriching the space it inhabits.
More than objects, these sculptural works serve as meaningful presences, elevating and transforming their surroundings.
Inédito, now in its eleventh edition, presents an exhibition of entirely new functional design pieces and object art at Design Week Mexico 2025. Each creation exhibited is unique and has never before been seen, presented, or commercially available, giving it a special and exclusive value.
Curated by Fernanda Sela, the installation merged nature, art and contemporary design into an immersive environment that challenged conventional design concepts. Drusch Design contributed Nexus 67, selected by Sela, alongside Daniel Orozco, MT Objects, Balmaceda Studio, Lanao Galeria, Casa Rapozo, Parafernalia, Abitante MX, Taller Batan and Allan Villavicencio.
Curated by Fernanda Sela, presenting the Atlas chair alongside the work of James Turrell. The exhibition invited visitors into the narratives embedded in contemporary Mexican design, where each chair transcends its utilitarian purpose to become a sculptural piece that reimagines the surrounding space.
Curated by Andres Gutierrez, a fusion of contemporary Mexican art and design centred on the works of Viktor Torres, enriched by the photography of Manuel Zuniga. The Atlas chair and UMU table lamp were selected for the show.
Four Drusch Design pieces, the Orion console, Atlas chair, UMU table lamp and UMU pendant lamp, were featured for six months alongside Rocca Luis Cesar's textile collection with Mughal, curated by Andres Gutierrez. The exhibition was covered by Dezeen and Architectural Digest.
Designer Andres Gutierrez curated a lead room celebrating a decade of American Eagle in Mexico, featuring objects and furniture from prominent Mexican designers. The UMU table lamp and UMU pendant lamp were among the curated pieces.
